Responsibilities
Scientific Research on Coral:
- Conduct and lead research on coral ecology, threats, and conservation strategies
- Develop and implement educational materials for students and the community
Technology & Data Management:
- Develop, implement, and manage Arduino-based monitoring systems for coral tanks
- Handle data collection, analysis, and reporting for coral growth and health
Engineering & Construction:
- Oversee and engage in the design and construction of coral tanks
- Ensure the optimal functioning and maintenance of coral habitats
Educational & Community Engagement:
- Lead and facilitate workshops and activities related to coral science and conservation
- Engage with schools and the community to promote coral conservation awareness
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Marine Biology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related fields
- Proven experience in scientific research, technology application, and/or engineering in a relevant context
- Strong ability to convey scientific concepts in an educational and engaging manner
- Familiarity with Arduino programming, sensor utilization, and data management
- Exceptional organizational and leadership skills
- Proficient in both English and Chinese
